Hi ya'll, I wanted to post some photos of things we collected on our trip to biloxi, mississippi. If you can identify some of these I would appreciate it. odd shaped Mud castings? Coral and sea shell clump found in texas 2 agtes I found in mississippi some types of red and dark gray chert possible limb castings in sandstone, very fragile and the sandstone washes away with a brush very easily small sandstone limb castings ? petrified wood found in very far eastern texas between nacodoches(sp?) and longview texas this is the first time in almost 18 months that i have posted any pics. I now have more time and hopefully will start posting more pics. thanks for looking Steve

nice agates in 3rd pic... red is a hard one to find....like 1 in 30 for me...your fourth pic could be a flint ...hit it with another rock and see if it sparks..the sandstone i think could be just water worn stone but then again it could be casts ..NIce pics.. John

John, the sandstone was burried in the dirt on a hill about 15' up and about 10' from the top of the hill in an escavation. So I am not really sure if I coul dchalk it up to being water worn sandstone. thanks Steve

Nice haul! I really like that red/grey chert...that would make some nice cabs! Have you found similar material in bigger pieces?
