Now that I have some lapidary bench tools I need to figure out where I can set up. I don't have room in my garage and I don't have a permanent space that I could dedicate in my basement. Has anyone implemented any methods to make their belt-driven cab machines and trim saws at least semi-portable? If you've implemented something like this could you share some pictures? drawings? blue prints?
Thanks, Scott

I had the same problem with my woodworking tools. The only thing I came up with was to put the larger tools on wheels or castors and shuffle everything around as needed.Maybe you can find or build a bench that will hold all your stuff and install castors then roll it into position when you're ready to work. "I don't have room in my garage and I don't have a permanent space that I could dedicate in my basement."
Maybe re-examine your areas and priorities? Look for something that could be moved somewhere else, to an area of less convenience. For instance, if you have your Christmas stuff stored in an area in your basement which would be ideal for your lapidary purposes, move the Christmas stuff somewhere else, even if you have to put-up some shelves high-up in your garage to hold them. Sometimes it's just a matter of organization and optimizing usable space.

I think you units are not so big to move. Mount the unit and motor on 7/8 plywood. You can put out on worktable, then put up on 24" deep shelf.
