Really cool looking rock.I have a little bit stashed away,but I'm going to wait until my skill level is up to working it.Might be a while. ;D

these are fairly inexpensive as they are not grade A stuff. I don't know if you know it or not, but you don't work it like opal because it has no fire that you have to watch out for. These you work like any other rock.

Isn't it amazing how much "common opal" (no fire) can cost. My wife has bought a lot of Peruvian opal beads and pendants over the years. There is a really nice blue color also.

Maryann: That is one of my favorite stones from Australia! It is very hard and easy to cab!! I posted several awhile back! Your photos are not showing! I love the blue opal, but it is pricey!!
