One of the motors that I picked up Craig's list is obviously pretty old. If there were any plates, serial numbers or diagrams on it they are long gone. In order to minimize my table top space I need the arbor on the motor to be on the same side as the pulley on my GP6. Unfortunately, the motor spins the wrong way for that to happen. I tried working with some of my slabettes last night anyway and ended up with stripes from my shirt right up across my face and safety glasses. I should have take a picture.
Anyway, there are four poles on this old motor; arranged in a square. It's AC obviously so I can switch the hot and neutral wires between the top two poles indiscriminately and the arbor spins the same way. There is a jumper wire between the two poles on the left right now. I tried switching the jumper to the two poles on the right and the motor just hums ominously. I tried switching the jumper and reversing the hot and neutral wires which still just resulted in more humming.
Is this most likely a one way motor? If so I need to modify my table-top portability set-up to something that will obviously eat up more space.

An electrician friend should be able to do it for you. You know one?

Some cooler motors are non-reversible. If it is reversible there will be a red and black wire coming out of the motor winding area and plugged into terminals in the junction section. Reverse the red and black and it will run the other way. Most residential cooler motors are multi-speed and will have a Com, 1, 2, and 3. Won't be reversible since most smaller coolers are built the same and run in same direction. You will likely need a 1/3hp 1725 rpm motor.

Yep Post a pic of the wiring
some motors have a reversing wiring and the details on the covering plate as X X & Y Y, and you alter them accordingly , but you need to follow thw manufactures instructions
