It sounds strange but yesterday was the first time I had met any of our RTH'rs. I went to Biker Randy's house and met up there with Bejewelme (Amber) and tonyturner. What a fun time! I really enjoyed the whole day, well, minus the driving. After posting here and chatting with these friends, to finally meet was just terrific! I felt like I had known them for a long time! We went to a shop that had a ton (maybe several) of rocks outside and you just look through them and see what you find. Oh my goodness! I could have gone broke there and now, I think I should have gotten more, but that is fine. I sure came away with some really wonderful stuff at a good price per lb! (I will post pics of these in the general rock section) Amber gave me a beautiful cross from Builtonrock (John). It is so pretty and my picture taking does not do it justice! Amber made a beautiful Mahogany Obsidian pendent for me and a beautiful cab too (I have gone blank on the material name). Amber also gave me a bag of left overs and scrap for my tumblers but my, they are pretty! Tony brought me a lot of PA rocks that they had found with Jo. He also brought several slabs for me. I love it all! Now, that is just the tip of everything. Randy kept busy cutting slabs when we returned from the rock shop, even though the weather didn't want to cooperate. I have several slabs from everyone here. Now, I have to throw in some of the action shots. Have to get Randy with Fonzie in the picture And last, but certainly not least, Harley as Cinderella I truly had a fantastic time! Fran

;D Great pics! It was so cool meeting you!! ..and great to meet up with Tony and Amber for the second time in just a few weeks, Harlie and I had an absolute blast! She helped me pick out alot of cool rocks, we returned home with another 48 pounds of rough. Anytime you're ready to dig through the roughage pile again, come on down!

Fran it was a blast and so nice to meet you. Harley is such a cutie and Randy is such a nice generous guy. We never got to cabbing or wrapping but I still had a great time.
None of the tumble rough I gave you was from Naturenut's area. I figured you already had some of that. The darker rocks were from a place near Amber's house and the rest were beach quartz that I collected on the Chesapeake Bay.

Looks like you guys had a great time. I do miss the eastern shore. I see an interesting face in the one backlit slab, almost like cat with googly eyes.

Woops! Tony, you told me that and I forgot and said it was from when you and Amber went to collect with Jo...The memory is going. You know, I am not sure of what the name of the rock shop was. It was an older guy in there. I was too busy looking at the rocks instead of where I was at. Randy will have to let us know that one. I have a hang up about my picture on the internet... Just one of those things. If Amber had gotten one with a profile or blocking my face, that would have been OK. At least you all were spared from a booty shot of me! Harley was being my collecting buddy and didn't get my rear shots. ;D Fran

John, Yes that's Randy's 10" saw that he was using. The dude can cut some seriously even slabs freehand on that sucker.
Fishenman, that's the spot. Didn't know they had a left coast store too.

Great trip Fran...Amber and Tony too! It looks like a blast was had by all. I'll bet if there was ever an RTH reunion it would feel like we had all known each other forever. It's pretty neat how we can come together as strangers be best of friends. Looks like everyone hooked you up too Fran! Enjoy the rocks and thanks for the report. Steve
