What I'd like to sale is a Huge chunk of Petrified Oak wood which came from the Deschutes River Canyon. The piece came from a old timers collection in The Dalles and unsure when it was collected. It tips the scale at 530 Pounds! and is the Butt end of a log section. It has some area's of rot, soft spots around the edges, but overall a very nice looking piece. It has great earth tone colors and it does have a cut face. It would polish up well or make a fantastic landscape center piece. It measures (roughly) 26" diameter and 21" long... If interested let me know and I'll get you the exact measurments. The log is sitting in The Dalles, Oregon and I'd be tickled if I could get $600.00 from it. Thanks!

jason...it's VERY tempting! I've been looking for some good sized pieces for the yard for a while...but...500 plus pounds is just a little more than I can handle!

Hmmm Vancouver, WA isn't all that far from home... If your yard isn't 1/4 mile from the street, I could always deliver and set in the magic spot lol.....
I also have a few other large rocks as well which would be good landscape pieces... 100+ Pound piece of Oolite Agate, 220 Pound piece of Pumpkin Obsidian, 157 Pound piece of Silver sheen obsidian and even Thundereggs which range in the 50 to 100+ Pound range.
All great rock.... Just no equipment big enough to play with them LOL!
Ahh heck if they don't sell no bad feelings on my end... if they do sell I plan to use the money for a down payment on a nice tent trailer. Getting too old sleeping in my truck.... Plus I could take the girlfriend and dogs with me... then I have extra helpers to load rock LMAO!

Ooops forgot to mention about the post regarding cutting... It was cut with a large drag saw. It's a nice clean cut... little ripple to it, but much better than I expected a drag saw to cut. A buddy of mine just finished building one... and I'm dying to take a few Thundereggs to him to cut. I always kick myself in the rear... Years ago I ended up with a rail saw. It had a 6 foot diamond blade and the vise jaws were 3ft x 4ft and would spead 8 feet open! I had no room where I was and I'm sure the EPA would hang me! so I sold it to a fellow several years back.

Well I've had several people email, talk and come look but no ones up for the challenge of a "big rock" ;D So if anyone is looking for a great landscape piece or is the incredible hulk to hold this up to their expando drum to sand and polish - the piece is still available! If your close enough to my hometown... I'd even consider making a special delivery lol

Bah, steenkin' geography, if you weren't like 2,000 miles away I'd buy that tomorrow and all the other stuff too sigh.
Anybody that's close... that's a good price... you could easily take a few nice thick slabs off, sell them, and recoup the whole cost.
