I got my new for me 10" frantom saw going today. This was my first time with a slab saw so I learned a few things. The biggest thing I learned was that my 10" saw does not take a full gallon of oil. I also learned that if you put a full gallon in its really messy. I got a few slabs done up though after cleaning it out, then cleaning up again. Here are some close ups. Picture jasper and some of Brents rhyolite Some local stuff filled with little shells A couple of obsidians I got on trade Some serpentine (maybe?) from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Sas: Nice slabs, you will master that saw after much trial and error! I like the local one with the shells, and the puerto vallarta rock! Amber

The easiest way to fill any saw is at initial fill remove table and pour oil to just cover cutting rim (bottom 1/4" or so). Install table and observe drip at blade guard. As you cut (and loose oil) the drip will get less and less. When down to hardly a drip, carefully pour small amounts of oil along blade until initial oil drip is restored. One or two "oil showers" and you should have it mastered. I've had two Frantom 10" saws andthey were a great saws. Not bad if properly filled as far as messy.

You sure have a nice batch here! I am sure you will have the hang of your saw in no time and won't have those oil problems. I really like the serpentine! Fran
