I told you guys I would post pics when I had it complete. Peyton turned 4 last Saturday, but it rained for 3 days so I could not finish the painting/staining. It is beautiful here today so I left work a couple hours early to finish up the job. I bought this old play set for a hundred bucks and put another hundred in it to make it close to new. I split the swing set off the fort and added a 12' beam to hang the tire swing. We want ours house to be the one all the kids come to play at. Now how did these get in here? ;D ;D ;D Thanks for looking! John

John: That looks awesome for $200? ? WOW!!!!! We paid $2,000 for Bobby's and he got stung by a bee the first day and didn't want to play on it, LOL. That is awesome and you are so right about wanting the kids at your house. I always had snacks and drinks because I preferred to feed the neighborhood then that way I knew where my son was and who he was playing with! Get the icee pops chilling! You are taunting poor little Kendal looking out the window at all the fun!! She needs a ride in the little baby swing out there! She is so cute, do you think you could ship her up here in a FRB for a few days so I can squeeze her up? Peyton will have a blast this summer with his buddies! And it gets them good and tired! Amber Another thought, since you got a good deal, that rubbber playground mulch will save a lot of boo-boos!!! That stuff is expensive but so worth it, and much less dirt than regualr mulch in the house and in their shoes!

Wooohooo! Peyton is one happy boy. Yaa, that was my thought too. Some type of mulch. A lot of the schools use either rubber or the real smooth wood chips. Although, part of being a kid is getting bruised and scraped and it would happen even if you put them in a padded room lol.
Awwwww, and Kendal is just soooo darn cute. Thanks so much for the pics John, I just love seeing your kiddies growing up.

Wood chips? Rubber? We use rock! ;D I plan to lay landscape fabric and a couple tons of pea gravel.
He does love the tire swing and Fireman's pole.
Thanks!! Kendal is one sweet girl ;D No bias here ;D

Ohhh yes, pea gravel. Great idea. And if you need some filler for a tumbler, you can just send Peyton out with a bucket and shovel. Shannon

Wow that is cool, can I come swing? I swing a lot with Autumn and we love doing it together. The neighborhood kids will love it. I can't believe its warm enough there for Peyton to go shirtless although its supposed to be in the mid 80's here over the weekend. Kendal is such a cutie. I got to hold Amber's nephew on Easter and it was quite a treat to hold a little baby again. I swear Autumn was never that small.

Good deals come to good people! Such a play set with 200$ is a gift! You really made it look like new! It also looks so sturdy, I think it will last until Kendal will join her bigger brother to play.

I loved the part where you took off work two hours early to get this done for him. You are one man who really has his priorities set in the right place. Now can I come and play. I love tire swings.
You did such and awesome job on this and there are going to be a ton of memories created by that swingset. Peyton must be so proud of his dad. It wont be long before Kendall is climbing, sliding and swinging also. She is just so beautiful!
WTG John!

Looks like you did a good job on all accounts. Personally, :2cents: :2cents: I would leave it grass so I wouldn't have to rake the mulch up each time the grass was cut. (I'm lazy) Ken
