Hi, everyone! I made two cabs from a local rock. One of them is larger and I made a wider groove and inserted a twisted wire in it. After this, I grinded the extra thickness of the wires to bring them to the level of the cab. Then polished the wire. This way the big cab is better "sustained" by the wire. Visually at least. Here they are: And some details of the twisted wire: It would be helpful for me to know what are you thinking about the look of that twisted wire. Thank you for looking, Adrian

I agree, the twisted wire looks really nice. Still simple and doesnt hide the stone but the twisted wire dresses it up a bit.

Adrian: I think the twisted wire is very sharp and classy looking. I love the local stone. So to make the bail you untwisted the wires at the top? Man you have the patience of a saint! I like it, and funny you did this, I was looking at some fancy wire, that was a thick and stamped, thinking it would look neat on the sides, but then was unsure how to finish the top!

The twisted wire looks great. In the first pic that little bit of twist that shows actually draws attention and accentuates the pattern in the cab. Both are beautiful and I also love the color and pattern of the stone on the right.

Love the look of the twisted wire - it looks elegant - I wanna say "Victorian" but that's not quite the right word - elegant fits better

Great job on the cabs and I think you've got something that's going to catch on with the twisted wire! I'm going to have to start making my cabs thicker now! Garry

Adrian:
That is some special wrap. It almost inspires me to do a groove wrap.

Thank you everyone. Amber, yes I had to untwist one of the wires at the top. WTG, you figured out the technique in a glimpse! Adrian

I really like those, the twist adds another level of elegance to the stone. Tami

I love the twisted wire in the groove. Much better than plain wire. Gorgeous pendant!
