Hi Everybody! Here are a couple of pieces I picked up last week while hunting with Chasfire in the Mt. St. Helens area. Kind of a peachy-colored agate with a lacey interior (photo looks more brownish, but actual color is peach): Quartz "thimble" - actual piece has lots of glitter (bling?): Quartz thimble showing the inside: We had a perfect day to go rock hunting & got lots of exercise. Really cool pieces garry. The 1st agate looks like it has a little amethyst in the center. BTW...I'm Jealous...:^) Steve

Beautiful specmens, both of them! It looks like Mt. St Hellens is a great rockhounding spot.

The "thimble" could be a pseudomorph that formed on top of a smaller drip formation before the original formation dissolved away. Nice finds!!
