First off; Thanks to Don for posting my pictures!! Wonderful job!! I have loved rocks all my life, however I just started working with them last May. Since then I have finished a few barrels of fine stones, some not so fine and lots of mistakes. I do throw some shaped stones in for polishing. I grind them into the shape I want first like the heart. I started with a Lortone twin 3 lber and now also have a 12 lber. They are going constantly. These pictures are of citrine which I just finished as well as petrified wood, amethyst, dinosaur bone, jasper, bloodstone and lots I have no idea what they are. I love the citrine and I'll be working with them and the others to make wirewrapped jewelry. My first problem is my grandkids want them all!! and I have made them lots of things with the rocks. My biggest problem is finding a supplier near me. I deal with Shawn at the Rock Shed but since I'm in BC, Canada it takes forever to get supplies, almost a month. We all know how heavy rocks and grit are. I enjoy this board a lot and I'm learning new things every day from all of you. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the help and support. Dorothy

hey Dorothy nice pics I too am from BC near Vancouver I do most of my colecting on Vancouver Island What part are you from? I deal with Western Gem And Mineral Suplies in Cloverdale 5631A 176A St. V3S-4G8 604-574-1980 I am close so I don,t know If they send materials Via mail and I have not got any roughs off of them either for the beaches usually supply me with enough material to fill the basement LOL but I am getting sick of the same old stuff If you know of some good colecting sites I would love some info I found a beach on the Queen Chalotte's called Agate Beech had Agates the size of tennis balls great for your big tumbler! Happy Tumbling HURK
