There also the Gryphon/Glaswork machines. They make a slotting cutter. I haven't tried it yet.
As matter of fact I've never slotted a cab, yet. But I was thinking I could a decent job on my WorkForce saw. Then I thought heck just take the blade off and put it on my cabbing machine--- ala' Adrian method. Better eyesight.
Of course the blade arbor hole is not the right size. But obviously there are inexpensive fixes.
good luck!

I have one of the Gryphettes with a grooving blade, and it works great, making it well worth the moneny spent on it. I got it from John's Gems. Woody

I use a dremel with a diamond cut-off disk sandwiched between two rubber polishing wheels which have been worn down to be slightly smaller than the disk.(note: mounting the diamond disk with just one polishing wheel will warp and/or damage the disk, the proper set-up is wheel-disk-wheel, also I've found some arbors come with screws that are too short for this configuration)

Stoneme: That's a good, simple way to control the depth. What size wire fits in that groove?
Thanks! Chuck
