This is Orbicular Jasper I found on the Skokomish River when Mossyrockhound and I spent the afternoon wading the river and searching the gravel bars. We had a good time and learned a little more about the Skokomish River geography. I will post some more photos of the material I found on my Oregon trip as I get photos taken. Thanks for looking. chasfire

It IS a nice piece. It's just not quite as big as it used to be. It had one fracture going through it, so Richard (Chasfire) used a chisel and tapped it a few times and it broke right on the fracture. Guess who got the big half? Me! Thanks Richard!
We even saw cougar tracks (again) and a black bear on the road on our way out. It was a great day & the weather cooperated too.
