Looks like you two had a really fun filled and productive rockhounding day. There is one pic of the sun through a creavice that is just beautiful and the way you captured the pic, you caught a flash flare (or something like that) but it looks like blue witch with a pointy hat. That is a great shot.

Great trip you guys had. Looks like the water was high but you found wood so that's good. The turtles look like Hermann's tortoise www.tortoise.org/archives/herman.htmlGreat pictures, thanks Adrian. Geoff

Adrian, just love the look on your face as you picked up the wood, it's priceless. Ina is a really good dog trainer! Love the prairie dog, he is a chipper little fellow! Thanks for this. Jo

THank you everyone! Lori, I like that picture too. Great vision you had looking at it. Jo, LOL my face in the 7th pic ... if greed would have a face this would be it, right? Ed, those red conic mounds are man made, there was some mining activity in the past in that place but I don't know what was extracted. Here are the promissed pics of the haul: Firstly, all of them: And some close ups: Thanks again for looking and for comments, Adrian

I love the trip reports and the views you captured are fantastic! Looks like Ina made some friends out of those dogs too! Are those fossilized snails that I see in your finds? Fran
