Take the saw outside, set it on a picnic table, and cut like there's no tomorrow!

If you are gonna cut inside, go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a mortar pan. They are the big black plastic pans back in the concrete block section. There are 2 sizes. Get the smaller one. Set your saw inside it and cut away. Catches MOST of the water. Otherwise, GET OUTSIDE. Going to ruin something inside with water. Grit and rock chips down the sink is a definate NO NO. They will stop the drain up because they DO NOT flow with the water, they stop in the bends(traps) and stop it up. Ken

Note to self:
1) find picnic table - check - with one exception ... it has been in the carport so long ... there are living and very poisonous (widows) creatures living on it.
Additional note to self: find a way to get over FEAR of spiders.
Not going to happen!
2) find extension cord long enough to reach outside. CHECK: have several industrial cords.
3) find way to put self up for adoption so that another person gets rid of spiders and keeps on eye on me so I don't cut fingers off. Okay .... maybe not the fingers .... but a rock playmate would be nice.
Dammit ..... did I just give myself away? Yes .... playing with these rocks is not all together totally fun without someone else cheering you on at your side.
As always .... Julie
ps ... I am peri menopausal and therefore cranky today!!!! Woof!!! (additional note to self: remind myself that I am never really cranky .... really!!)
AND .... my dog got a foxtail up her nose today!!! Not good, Not Funny!!! Spent several hours holding her collar to keep her from slamming her face into the ground while she sneezes out the foxtail!!! AND
I have this NOISY vibe that I thought I was ready to throw out the window and now with nothing BUT rock and spritzing .... it does look like the You Tube!!

Prepare a spray bottle filled with bleach, then put your gun nozzle on your hose and show them Widderz what-fer! Full blast that table like ya mean it! While the Widderz are either drowning or dying, spray the heck out of the whole table with the bleach. Let it all dry overnight. The next day, go out and reclaim your table. Those that may have survived the water pelting won't go back to it cuz of the bleach. Drag it out into the yard so that things are even less likely to infest it.
FWIW, I use an old kid's school desk for my WF. It's perfect for it.
Measure your tumbler, then go down to Wallyworld and buy a cheapo styrofoam cooler that'll fit over it. Cut your noise in half for under $5.
While you're at Wallyworld, pickup something good to throw on the barbecue for you AND your dog. You both deserve a treat after going through your harrowing ordeal together.
And ... that's right, Sis! Woooffff!!

Two things:
I wouldn't put the vibe in a closed cooler because it will get too hot. Thumler's specifically recommends against enclosing their tumblers.
The geode that looks like a pair of butt cheeks is probably a double (two geodes stuck together). Don't split them down the crack. Cut the long way instead, probably with the crack up and perpendicular to the blade. That way you'll get both chambers.

Hmmm a computer fan in one side and a hole in the top would solve the heating issue, but I'm pretty sure she won't wanna mess with that. Dang.

Yep, get that saw outside or you will have drainage issues. If it is getting hard to feed the stone through, the blade may be gone. That happens if you push the rock through too hard or if there is not enough water. Fran
