I took some of this stuff in trade yesterday because it looks real cool and partly because the guy said that they call it "Brimstone" LOL. I looked up "brimstone", and that's the ancient name for sulfur. Then the monicker made a little sense because there is a little sulfur in it. However, I'm thinking that it's just a made-up nickname, and I'm very curious what it actually is. I've never seen anything like it and it's WAY cool! Dry: Wet:

That is pretty cool, I like it! Would make pretty cabs. How hard is it?

As you can see, it's brecciated or conglomerated, but it's hard and doesn't fall apart. It sparkles a lot from the quartz in it. He said it cabs well, but some pieces break when you tumble a batch of it. There are a lot of jasper/agate pieces all through it, and I think the black parts are obsidian. The matrix even has some banding in it. VERY strange stuff!
