Howdy All, Its been awhile since I have been here and have sure missed all the Rock-Talk and pictures....I was diagnosed with advanced COPD last winter and its been a rough SOB to say the least... I was so blessed when we (two of my sons) and I discovered Kaleidoscope during a Prospecting trip early this past Spring...It has turned out to be our most significant Discovery to date, in over 200 acres we have identified over a dozen different varieties of Jasper, Agate, Opal, Wood... I am building the Kaleidoscope Page on my web site, has more info and pictures...I'm not here to sell, just sharing with ya'll. I do sell kaleidoscope from one rock to a barrel, but again, thats not why I'm here. I have looked forward to sharing this with ya'll since we first found it but so many times, just to danged worn out to even think of computer time...At any rate heres the link to my website and on the left is the Table of Contents, and on the bottom link is The Kaleidoscope page, still under contruction. maxpages.com/biggsjaspeR

Thanks for looking and Happy Rockhounding!!!-Dale Rhode

Dale, those are magnificent. Congrats on such a great discovery!
I don't know if you remember but a long time ago before I was a member here I was viewing your ebay site and had a question so I e mailed you asking you about rainbow calsilica. In my innocent newbie state I thought is looked a lot like your Biggs. lol . You were so kind and emailed back the difference. I never forgot that.
It's nice to meet up again and say hi.

Thanks everyone for your comments!!! Mel I love what you said (Morrisonite on speed) lol. So much does fit that description and I hope to have more pics posted by weeks end... Yeah Lori I remember you and its sure good to see you here. Lots of good true blue Rockers here... Tony, you drop by any time, Maybe bring some trading rock and give me a 2 day heads up to be sure I'm here...Brian, my youngest son may set up at the Prineville Pow-wow, still up in the air as he just got hired on for the Oregon Dept Of Fish and wildlife but he sure wants to start doing the shows. Hey Adrian, always love your pictures, and everyone else thank you so much. I will try and stop by more often as I have sure missed ya'll...Take care!!! PS: I do intend to share this beautiful rock with the regulars here but I need someone who can be Middleman or Lady lol that I could send 3 or 4 flat rates to and they could disburse all, as a gift of course. Its just if I lay anymore shipping logs in front of my wife then what she already gets she may start throwing rocks at me lol...

Amber (Bejewelme) might be a good middle lady! She's always generous and sharing with everyone. Beautiful rock, great discovery. Someday I hope to buy a little of that blue! Susan btw, I'm sure you didn't mean Short Of Breath with the SOB....but I know you are!

LOL yeah that was alittle Pun Fun with SOB=Short of Breath lol...Anyway thanks for the info and if Amber wants to do it that would be great...Whoever does it will get their own Flat Rate of Kaleidoscope after the gift boxes ship so If that sounds acceptable as I'm not sure how many regulars we have as I haven't been very active myself, but I want to make sure that whoever does this is very happy with the results...Thanks Susan!!!

Those are absoluely incredible specimens. I am saving your website, I hope to be able to buy a piece or two in the near future. But, I better wait till I get a little better at working the stone. Thanks for showing those. Take good care of your self!

Dale, that is some beautiful material, very attractive patterns and colors. Several of us will be down at the Prineville and Madras Pow-wows and we'll be collecting up in your neck of the woods. Maybe we can get together.

Am I getting volunteered?? LOL
I would be glad to assist but I need a way to divide anything that people want in a fair way so that everyone that wants it can get some. PM me Dale and we can discuss! That is a very generous offer and very kind of you to want to share with all of us!

Glad to see you back Dale but sorry to hear about your health issues. It certainly hasn't stopped you from rockhound. That is some of the prettiest jasper I've seen. Tony's comment was right on the mark.
