Here are some of my latest wrap attempts, and a question. First, Sodalite from Keith; Another view; A Montana Moss from Tony; My reworked Moss; And a wrapped Lapis; Now, our question. The wife is going to take some of our tumbled stone jewelry and the best looking cabs/wraps to a flea market, see if we make some more rock getting money. We were wondering if ya'll think these wraps might be worth, say, 10 dollars maybe? I'm still new, and these are far from perfect, but not too bad. I been looking and reading all the posts here, trying to learn. Thank you to all who post, especially the tutorials. Boy, would I ever be lost! ;D Thanks; Mike ps, I kinda goofed on the reworked moss with the bail!

Some days are gold, some are rocks. Either is cool.

Do NOT underprice your work. So many artists do that. You've done nice work, and while a wrapper may see what needs improvement, the general public won't. $10.00 is far below the value of these. You should at least double it. & the lapis should be more than that.
Also, it looks like you're doing your bails with square wire. If so, you might find 1/2 round easier to work with. It also makes your bails neater & less bulky.
Hope this helps, JoAnne

The wraps are beautiful. As for your price question, JoAnne covered it. One thing I consider when determining price is the actual cost to make it and what above the cost would make me happy. There is a general formula something like cost times 2 or 3 but it may have changed.

Mc, on pricing, for the few that are my very favorites, once the cost of my time and materials are covered, the price I choose is what it would take for me to part with it! Your wraps are beauties. Jo

I am with Joanne, do not underprice your work, we did a show and sold cabs for $16, and the groove wraps for $20, which I think is still cheap and you have nice material there. One thing the economy is bad, but til you factor in the rocks and the wire these are worth way more than that! Also someone mentioned the half round wire, we are finding we like the half round for grooves with the flat side out, and then the round side out for the bail. For these being your first cabs and wraps, they are beautiful!!! No one will know you are a newbie!!! So don't price yourself as one! Amber

Ditto all of the above! These are beautiful, one of a kind hand crafted pieces and should not be underpriced. You may have trouble selling these in a flea market environment only because flea market shoppers are looking for bargins, not art!
Love the Montana Moss! Good luck! kj

Thank you all for the feedback and encouragement! Very helpful. And, kj, that is a very good point.

Those look great $10 is way to low. I get $10 for mine but I sell them all to a friend who does all the work. He goes to the shows and all the expense involved is his. He even comes to my house to pick them up for that price. All I have to do is my hobby and leave selling to him (sales are his hobby). It looks like your using silver wire on yours too, I just use craft wire so yours should be more because of that. My friend sells mine at the shows for $18 - $20 depending on the deal he makes. Don't even think of selling them for less than that if your going to the show/flee market.

Good stones, good metal, GOOD PRICE!....that is what I say. 10$ is too cheap...you can always go down. Say, someone wants 5 of them or whatever. Plus, they like to haggle at Flea Markets, so mark them prices up. ;D
