Welcome to the board msneo, Glad youve found us - youll find loads of people here with the same interest. I'm not from arizona - I am from the UK - and I'm jealous of anyone who can find rocks to tumble just by going up to nearby hills or mines. Jealous andy.

I'm up here in Mesa, and I am just getting started at really looking at all the rocks I have been tripping over all these years. I've got a few good maps showing different mineral deposits in the state and I've bee picking one each week end and ckecking them out. I'm going up to Four Peaks next weekend, where they say there is an old amythest mine. Go to the local library and you'll be surprised at how many differet sites there are in this state. I find there are quite a few in the Tucson area. Maybe we can get together down there some time and do some hounding in your stomping ground.
