That's what I'd call the good life right there! you must have had an enjoyable b-day from the looks of things! You were up Big Timber Creek, right? I really love that area!

We used to hunt Antelope on the Glennie's ranch up around Porcupine Butte- doesn't seem that long ago, but it was back in the 70's -man how the time flies!
I wouldn't have believed how much snow is still around there mid-June this year if I hadn't been there last week to see it myself.

Beautiful! I'm glad you wer able to enjoy that scenery on your birthday. I guess there's no better way to celebrate it than that. Lots of snow still in the mtns. too. It's been a crazy summer and it hasn't gotten super warm to melt alot of the snow in the higher elevations here in Utah. Some of the rivers are still too high to do any flyfishing. BTW...did your pan fry come from the river?? That one picture looks like a very nice hole! Steve

Such gorgeous scenery - just can't beat Montana and Idaho for beautiful places to explore and camp (...and the rocks). Never get tired of it. Looks like your birthday was great! Barb

Thanks for those pics. You are one lucky dude to live out there. Our family is planning to go to Yellowstone or the Canadian Rockies next summer. Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, that whole are for a couple of weeks. The fact that you can do it anytime you like is so cool. Keep on posting pics. I'll keep on liking them.

The snow pack in our part of the state really is deep this year. It is still snowing up in the high country when it rains in the valleys.
Steve, The trout came from a lake higher up. A thunderstorm chased us back down the trail before I had a chance to take pics up there. The creek is good fishing, but is in high water now so those nice looking holes are tough to fish.
mary ann, The crackers are topped with cream cheese and smoked oysters, yummy....
Condor, you always help me remember how special it is to live under the Big Sky, one can take things one sees often for granted, though I do love the mountains always.
Naturenut, The flowers are alpine Shooting Stars. Their fragrance is more heavenly than the finest perfume, my favorite wildflower.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I spent a week up in the Wyoming, Montana area the summer of my senior year of high school. I keep reminding myself that I'd really like to go back there, but somehow it never happens. Lovely scenery!

What gorgeous pictures. I will be going in that area when heading to the Billings gem show at the end of July. Now I am excited about seeing that scenery for myself.

How majestically beautiful those mountains are. I felt cooler just looking at them. Thanks for posting.
