The sodalite is 16 pounds. I've had it for about two years, still not sure if I want to slab it or not. lol

Geez, that photo just before the spider got me all kinds of dizzy. It doesn't take much to make me seasick, now I'm getting land and picture sick. Great pic by the way.

Petrified Forest NP, AZ 5. My little buddy, Guadalupe Mtns NP, TX- There were more tarantulas and rattlers there than anywhere I've ever been. It was soooo cooool. I love snakes and the spiders were pretty friendly....

Randy, those are some big chunks of rock, the pythons cool as well. Highplainsdrifter, stunning scenery the wave is pretty psychedelic. Onewomanarmy, yes it is we walked along the beach then climbed up and walked along the top, we started at the point in the distance. Sitnwrap, it is amazing the lump in the first picture is what you can see dotted about in the second picture. This is an old tram track used to carry limestone from quarries up the mountain to the iron works that are all round here. A lot of the local landscape is man made as a result of the industrial revolution. An iron age crannog (man made island) there would have been a settlement on it with a trackway to the edge of the lake. The locals call this Tom thumb.

What part of Canada is that? The third pic with the flat faced looking wall is great. Did you hound and find things. Canada is so rich in minerals and rock. I dream of ammonite from Canada.
Rockfromahardplace, that has to be the most glorious picture of a swan that I have ever seen. It took my breath away.
