After we had to put our German Sheppard down last year, two months shy of her 15th birthday, I put my foot down. No more dogs! Since I am the man of the house, the uncontested lord of the manor... here is our new puppy. 5 Weeks (breeder visit) 8 Weeks (one ear up) 9 Weeks (one ear dropped back down) 10 Weeks (both ears are up but it's kind of hard to tell here) 12 Weeks (both ears up to stay but one is a little saggy still)

Sorry about Your Loss last year...but I think Your new Puppy (member of the Family!) will probably help fill the void. She's a Cutie! Steve

Sorry to hear about losing your girl last year - that's never easy. I was the same way when our first dog died unexpectedly - I swore the whole way to see a litter of pups that "I'm not interested in another dog - I'm not going through that agai - OH WHAT A SWEET FACE! I think we should pick this one!" German Shephards are beautiful dogs. We've got a couple of Border Collies (or they have us - I'm never sure) but I have always loved GS also. Keep the pictures coming!

Nice pup! Love that look on her face in that one picture.
In another week or two my Newfoundland is going to have pups, I will be showing them off when they come!

Her name is Scout. Like the little girl in "To Kill a Mockingbird".
Thanks for the kind words and condolences. We got to enjoy Raven (our old Sheppard) for a long, long time though. Fifteen is ancient for a big dog.
My wife loves Newfoundlands and really wanted one of those but I'll only have sheppards now. My 10 week old pup responds to "Come", "Cage", and "Sit" (we crate her at night and when we're not home) better than my brother-in-law's 6-year-old Husky. Our old dog was really smart but Scout's parents, aunts and uncles are all obedience champs and her cousin is the K-9 unit dog in Port Huron, Michigan. I think Scout is going to be smarter than ol' Raven.

I'm sorry for the loss of your dog but there in no resisting puppies and this one is such a cutie. I bet she is causing a lot of laughter with her puppy antics.

I am sorry for your loss, but what a cutie!!! I bet the kids are loving her! I like that you named her Scout after To Kill a Mockingbird, a classic!
