Thank you Jo for taking us along in your visit! Amazing specimens! Yep, that pet wood is fantastic, thank you for posting it. The Pyrite cube is so perfect! The local calcite is very impressive, too.

I opened this thread because I thought you were into birding too Jo. I wasn't disappointed though. I'm most amazed that the big chunk of malachite was found in PA.

Now that was a great trip! Thanks for taking us along Jo. I would love to find some malachite like that! Not my luck. Couldn't even find beryl at a beryl location... Fran

Seems to me that you've hounded stuff that belongs in that museum. Your in-depth prospecting of your area has turned-up some truly phenomenal finds.

Jo: You certainly got good ID's on a lot of the matierals that you have been finding! Those are super pics. Love the rhodo, glad you had a fun b-day doing the things you love! Amber

O boy Jo, you sure had a super birthday. Those specimens are great and you sure have a lot of mines in PA. That Gypsom Rams Horn is wild. There are a lot of specimens in here that look real familar with what you have sent me in your boxes . Thanks for sharing your day, I'm glad you had fun. Lori

Looks like quite a good collection at that museum. Some of that stuff looks familiar. I've been collecting a lot of PA mined stones at the shows this year and are finding some are really nice to cab. You get credit for turning around my bad opinion of PA rocks.
