Howdy folks! I've finally got my website completely up and have started adding product to it, just in time to help Nancy. This weekend, I'm going to have a "kick the tires" sale on the website to make sure everything is working properly. All of my pendants will be on sale for $25, all cabs will be on sale for $2.50 - $5.00. Proceeds from sales made during this time will go to help Nancy out. This covers two needs - testing out the order process on my website (making sure I have all the Is dotted and Ts crossed) AND helping out an RTHer in need. I'll be uploading additional pendants (and finishing current descriptions!) and cabs through Thursday, and then marking down the prices on Friday morning. So, help me test out my site AND help out Nancy with her medical bills. Thanks, folks! www.therockinspired.com

i wish that i could help out nancy so much it hurts, but you all know that i too have some family problems. the money i make from my sales on the website is going to help my son and daughter in law. thank god she has a job, that will cover the rent. so i'm helping them out the food, etc. if there is something you have been wanting or need something, plz let me know and i can get ralph to work on it, in my absence. he told me that hes just gonna sell all the slabs for the same price,........... $4.00 each. I said "what" i better hurry home. lmao. Hes so funny. ty all very much. mary ann

I can't believe that your website says you've only been into this stuff for a couple years. Your work is so delicate and beautiful. Maybe there's hope for me yet. Doubtful, but maybe.

Thanks guys for the kudos on the site. It's still a work in progress, but it's coming along. Amber - Yup. That's my packaging. I haven't had to do it much, but it works. I purchased a couple things from KD a few years back, and she had the best packaging. It made an impression. 10T - My joined date on here was my actual introduction to rocks following a CE tumbler for Christmas. EVERYTHING I do now is directly from this board. No formal lessons (except a metalsmithing class last year), all informally learned from the collective wisdom of the internet!

Ronda - I have a small suggestion for you: put your first name on the site (preferably the home page and the artist page). You have a very personal perspective, and having your name will make it easier for people to connect.

Thanks, Chuck. I had someone else suggest I need picture on the artist page of me working on something for the same reason.

It would be even better if you included a pic of the cat knocking Liza's favorite rock down from a high place for her, and Liza waiting for her to do it. ;D

Well, I still have a few more pendants and quite a few more cabs to get up there, but the sale has started without me. I'll continue loading pendants and cabs (probably pendants first) through the weekend. Thanks guys, from me and from Nancy!

My big bad .... another thread I missed ...
On my way to check it out anyway and I know the sale is over, but if I see something I want, I will pay regular. Will the proceeds still go to Nancy (or some of it)?
As always ... Julie

Yes, they will. I told Nancy today that anything purchased in this next week will still go to her. Thanks for looking, Julie!
