Alot of people think that Arizona is all desert, on another hike three weeks ago I walked up on this, yep, in Arizona. This waterfall was about ten feet hight. I just had to share.

Gorgeous spot you found, like Shangri-La there. Never got Homesteaded, huh?

Beautiful! Some of the mini-environments present on the deserts are amazing. Great photograph!.....Mel

Excellent photo, cools spot! Arizona is wondrous geographical marvel. Years ago I owned land in Show Low. Moved the parents up there to escape Phoenix’s brutal summer and enjoy the golden years. It was a great get-a-way on the weekends. The sad sad part was I didn’t know rocks from a hole in the ground at the time!! That land was full of petrified wood and I didn’t collect any! Sold the land a few years ago. But I did talk to a rock hound that used to go up and visit my parents. They collected rocks from that parcel. So specimens are about. Phoenix is basically in the middle of the state at an elevation of 1,200 ft sea level. An 80 mile drive north (either Payson of Prescott) and you start reaching elevations of 4000 ft level. Further north and the elevations ascends to about 7,200. Anyway, the farther upper parts of the state have fine forested area with mild summer temperatures and considerable snow in winter months. Tucson too as it summer get-way on Mt Lemon

Looks like you came upon a little bit of paradise. I would stand under that waterfall and get a cooling back massage if the water isn't too cold.

stoneviews, excellent photos. Did you perhaps scan around for evidence of early occupation? If that water has been there for ages, It had to have been a terrific gathering and camping spot.

Can't wait to get out there again. Only a little over a month now and I will get to see all of that with my own eyes.
