Thanks Ronda. It is a Mexican Opal that Jamie cabbed. I had it for many months gathering the courage to wrap it. lol.

I wondered if it was Mexican Fire Opal, but I don't know my opals very well. So much opal we see here is boulder opal that I thought it would be a safe guess.

Ohhh Lori, that was a nice wrap job, I like those twisty things down the side, and it was a good way to elongate a smaller sized cab! Very nice work!!!!!! I love those Mexican opals, they are so cute!

Is the wavy, twisted wire just a small piece of wire, or is it part of the " frame "? ( does that make sense? )
