Hey all, Di and I went wandering around another construction site Friday to hound for some rocks before going to watch fireworks ( Dayton put on a great show this year ). We found alot of interesting stuff.... mostly quartzy stuff and flint.... Here are some of our lager finds ( these are all fist sized and bigger ).... First a few pieces of flint... I had to break this one just to see what it looked like inside.... and it looks sweet!!!! Here's some quartzy stuff.... And, just some others I'm not sure about... The stripes one this one are so uniform and consistant... and there is a little piece of quartz peeking out around the hammer marks... ... this red/ black rock is new to me.... there was quite a bit of it around.... this first piece was cool... ... this second piece was even cooler!!!! ( anyone feel like cutting some slabs? ) And these last two are quite large... just neat rocks.... ( little nodules of quartz are just smashed into the red rock ) Chris
