That looks an awful lot like the kind of bag that they use for medical waste. Where exactly are you dumpster diving? I don't see the biohazard symbol in the pic but it very well could be on the other side of the bag.

Thats what I was thinking, RED bags are not usually a good thing. I thought this was a ROCK website not a flea market. Just my 2cents Keith

Look, Wizard found these things & is willing to give them away. What's the big deal? Would everyone really be squawking if he was an older, established member instead of a newby? I don't care for any of the scoops, but just feel that it's kind of like tv - if you don't like what you see, simply change the "channel". Besides, he started out with star sapphires. Just my thoughts...... Jo

Yes, scoops. buckets, sives .. all strike me as useful to trade here. I also think that had they come from a flea market or friends garage, no questions would be asked.
But, asking about the writing on the bag does seem reasonable too - for the stated concern.
If there had not been so much oddness (hopefully just due to settling in and formality and board culture ...) any reasonable trade would not be an issue. Heck, I traded RockKitten for opened epoxy tubes.
So maybe as a courtesy we could hear about the writing on the bag and the location of the dumpster. ALso maybe as a courtesy, Wizzard gould get a few more chances to settle in and find his stride here.

deb193redux , my comments where not about only the scoops(they would come in handy sometimes) but the post where there was a long list of things not related to rock that he found in a dumpster and listed. Aunts, sorry to ruffle your feathers but like you said if you don't like what someone says then change the channel I have a opinion just like you. Keith

Thank you for the offer to share! It's not worth the postage to have you send me any, but I do work in a hospital and will share this info: Biohazard bags are usually very solid red, not see through, and thicker plastic than the one looks to be in this photo. They are thick to prevent the chance of being pierced by something to risk exposure. Just my "two cents worth" so to speak, Susan

Glad to see I'm not the only one who checks dumpsters. Found a brand new 10" lapidary blade and several baby food bottles full of opal in water once. I have an antique spinning wheel in my basement, waiting to be put back together. Some of the glue joints had come apart. Watched a guy throw that one in the dumpster, and pulled it out as soon as he left. Don
