Sure, a little splash proofing, a 80g diamond wheel, and an expando wheel with an assortment of belts and your well on your way to a bull wheel www.kingsleynorth.com/skshop/search_results2.php?catID=917 or better. Space your wheels as far away from the bushings (bearings) as you safely can to lessen water problems. Keep us posted on your progress and have fun. Dr Joe .

well i won the arbor at the auction it went for $10 with lamp and table also a roll of 1/4" solid copper wire problem is the shaft is to short and it 1/2" so i need a longer one and this is a stupid question how do the grinding wheels go on the shaft ? are they held with a nut or set screw ?

If the shafts are threaded they usually have nuts (left side left hand thread). If not they can be set screwed or there are "shaft adapters" that go on the shaft to provide nuts/washers. Look at Covington's online catalog and you can see these. They also make a similar "open arbor". 1/2" shaft is fine. You can use telescopic bushings to adapt 1" wheel arbors. The shaft sticks out past current wheels so plenty long enough to install a wheel and drum or two wheels.

Another thing, make sure motor is 1725 rpm not 3450.
