For the time being, with all that is going on here at the endless house sale, I'm posting groups of pics. Hope no one minds...
Last week, I went out to my garage (the door had been up) and saw that a neighbor had left this on my rock table.
(not the wine, the box, geesh!)
Inside was this...
They are Cape May Diamonds! They are clear quartz from the PA Mountains that washed down and into the Del River, becoming rounded. The shipwreck Atlantus became a barrier that diverts the tides and brings these little babies up onto the beach of Cape May, NJ. Here are a couple shots of individual stones. (notice my paint-covered fingers)
They're in my rotary as we speak!
Ran a vibe tumble batch of mixed quartz with preshapes. Here are some &hearts s.
I did a second swap with Ed Deeptime. This time I sent him some non-green moonstone so he could make Rock'n Hearts of contrasting colored moonstone. He made this beauty for me. The pink had many inclusions, making it tricky to work, but Ed did a great job stabilizing it to make this awesome heart. EdMost, thankyou!
Here are two moonstone cabs I did a few weeks ago.
Randy and Cathy sent me a Birthday FRB. It had three gorgeous Randy Freeforms, some tumble rough (in the bag), and that little box in the backgound is full of slabettes! (a few slabs are now missing from the box) Thank you for making me feel special Randy and Cathy!
Did a swap with Tony W. These babies rock and he gave me BO! (didn't know it was contageous... BTW, one slab is missing from the pic)
I won MJ's Auction B and I'm just tickled! He included these slabs as packing peanuts.
These are the rocks I got.
MJ and I had been working on a deal on his Pseudo-Indian-Paint-esque rocks, so he stuffed those in too.
Thank You MJ!
Garden Pics! New stuff is bloomin!
Saskrock and I did a swap recently. Here are some awesome dendritic slabs, Saskatchewan Agates and Pet Wood (a couple slabs are missing from this pic too) Thank you Sask!
Here's two big back-breaking moonstone chunks that I collected.
Well, this is what I've been working on for over a month now. Cabs from buys and swaps from RTH friends. This is where some of the slabs that were missing from the pics above are now.
Unfortunately, I'm at a (hopefully temporary) standstill with this batch of cabs.
Because of this...
LOL. We had a staging consultant come out to give us the jazz on what we should be doing to get the house sold (like they do on HGTV). So... we stripped the wallpaper from two bathrooms and are painting again! We painted over a natural wood wall, and are doing numerous other crazy insane things. And that is why my hands have been covered in paint!
Anyway, enough of this. Thanks for allowing me to play ketchup and thanks for lookin'!
