Okay kiddies .... it is too dam hot here to even go out and setup the saw let alone stand in that heat. So ... I decided the next best thing would be to get busy with my wrapping. Here are three that I did today and I must say they are really nice. One of them actually has the bail that I finally did. It is not perfect, but a heck of a lot better than not trying at all. The Mexican Lace is ear marked for someone here. Not gonna tell!!!! Now .... this pet wood (CORRECTION: I believe this is opalized wood) is beautiful to begin with and yes kiddies I did the tumble on it!!!. The shine on it is like glass. The wrap is three strands copper square. The middle strand twisted with silver. Since I have no means of twisting, I pulled out my Black & Decker power drill, opened the chuck, folded wire ends over, stuck it in the chuck, tightened the chuck and Vrooooommmmm. It works great!!! I really love this piece. The pictures do not do it justice! The Mexican Lace is wrapped in silver, the middle wire twisted. I have no idea why I love twisted so much. Maybe it just adds an awesome dimension to the piece. The third piece is one from my sweet cab benefactor here and is a single strand of twisted copper. This is a groove wrap. Very simple, but very pretty!!!! As always .... I love input, comments, and criticisms. I cannot get better or grow if I do not know things I should or should not be doing.

Hey Julie, you've got real promise as a wrapper, girl! Woof! Really like your bails, your bindings are clean, and you've got some magic going on there with the cabs. Jo

Julie, you are getting so good. They are outstanding. Don't know how you could improve.
Only one thing, some of us are still on dial up and it takes forever to load pictures. Just one shot of the front and one of the back would help, unless someone asks to see the side or another picture. O.K sweetie? Thanks in advance. Ken

Rockman ... good point .... very good point ...
As always ...
Additional note: I see no one noticed or they did not say anything ....
The bindings are backwards ... It was not until I was almost finished that I realized the binding endings were on the outside of the wrap.
Not wanting to screw it up .... I let it go.
It's okay .... I still love the opalized wood! Thanks Jo!! ;D

Yep, now that you mention it, the first one the wraps end on the outside. On the lace, it looks like you put the flat side of the half round on the outside. Hard to tell from the picture. Hope this helps because you still did a great job. I had no one to tell me when I started.

Julie, it looks like you used ALL the wires in the bail on that first one - that can't be easy to do! Heck, getting even ONE of them to curl right is a major undertaking for me. LOL!
That lace one is outstanding! Kudos!
