Jo, you made me cry . . .twice! RTH peoples I have failed to photograph yet the surprise I received from Jo aka Naturenut a couple of days ago. She sent me, with no warning, a beautiful Moonstone wrap and slabs and little bags of goodies. Healing stones. I cried then because of her sheer thoughtfulness and now i see this! Thank you Jo. And on a very bad day. My treatment plan is not as I expected it was going to be, simple, but quite extensive. I wasn't prepared for that. So I kind of lost my "toughness" today. Besides hubby acting weird about it all of a sudden. Maybe i wasn't tough after all but in a sort of denial, but I'll do what I must and will get through it. Didn't mean to get into a big thing but anyway again your thoughtfulness and that of my other RTH "family" has touched me deeply. Thank you all so much for "just being here". After my day of more dreaded appointments tomorrow I will get photos up.

Well, I think you handled it great. Didn't get yourself bent out of shape and held tight until you knew what you were dealing with and what the plan was. Once you knew the deal, you allowed yourself to feel the emotions. I think that sounds like a healthy way to do it! We just wanted to let you know we care, that's all. Come on RTH! Now who's gonna knock that box of Moonshine out of Jo's hands! LOL.

I have seen mention of a moonstone type agate found in Saskatchewan Canada (that's where I live), but as of yet, have found no hard (as in rock hard) evidence of same. I guess I will have to buy some. I will bid $50.00 Hope all goes well, Doug

Jo thank you so much for doing this and thanks to Flatlander too. You have no idea how much these things help. So far the Womans Health Check program has taken care of the big bills (at least I think, I hope) and they are trying to flip me over to Medicaid. But I still get the lab bills and everytime I go to my regular Doc it costs about $100. Plus the colonoscopy is not covered by WHC so that bill is all mine THANK YOU!!!!

Summer is always a gong show around here, one daughter 3rd year university (geology...rockhounds in the family) one daughter 16 going on 25, and a 12 year old son, so not much time to even open the box. The finished cab is great, as were the tumbled stones. I usually slice a bit thinner, so may cut the slabs again. The material seems quite light, is it porous? In other words can I cut it with just mineral oil? I'll let you know how they turn out. I used to buy heart shaped polished rocks off ebay for my wife, lately I have been working some out myself, (well so far just roughing them out, but my intentions are good), so if I like it, might want to buy a bigger chunk. Thanks again, Doug

Hi Doug, That's great! I kept the slabs at a half inch for the possibility of high domes. Also, it gives you plenty of material should the layered nature of the stone cause it to fracture. Sure, slice away! Just use care until you get used to the material. I cut it with my WF just fine and Randy cuts it with his big saw with mineral oil, so I would think it would be okay. Very rewarding stone to work with. Keep me posted. Love to see others work it! Jo
