Thank you all. Really took some thinking so that it would be engineered securely. Did each wire individually, one at a time, and then taped it at the top. Wanted it to show off the stone as much as possible and keep it clean. Jo

Jo, that is absolutely stunning. The twisted wire is just enough to perfectly accentuate the silver flash in the stone and the top suits the stone to a T. Just beautiful.
Also, you really did a great job capturing the flash from your moonstone in these pics.

Very nice job Jo, I love it. I agree that the twisted wire was done just right. One thing I can't do for anything is twist wire.

Thanks Sara, Lori and Larry!
Larry, if there's one trick I picked up from Lori and Randy, it's twisting wire. Lori hooks it up to the end of one of the beaters on her electric hand mixer, and Randy puts it in the chuck of his cordless drill (bend the end over first).

Good stuff, Jo. Just BTW, something I have just figured out for myself in the last 2 or 3 days - I find I can twist the wire easy as pie by clamping the last 1/4" in a little vise that clamps to the edge of the table, and the other end in my pin vise, then pull and spin the pin vise with my fingers, kinda like spinning a pencil. I've been plenty happy with the results. Might not work for everybody, but it sure works for me!
