Here is the other intarsia cab that I finished yesterday wrapped. Finished it late last night. There are three different stones used in it to represent the sun, moon and earth. Sunstone albite for the sun, olive/silver flash moonstone for the moon, and green microcline moonstone for the earth. All are self-collected. Here's the wrap: Front and Back Side Thanks for checking it out!

Very pretty, I like how you designed the wrap in front to go with the different stones. It has a good flow.

Stunning. I think your side wraps are amazing - I'm still trying to figure out how to even get them in the right place, much less be perfect, like yours are! Great job.

Well... that's a good thing 'cause now you can look at what I did and out-do me! LOL. Can't wait to see yours, Randy. And Thanks! Thanks everyone! Really means alot to me when you check in and comment. Julie (and everyone), the explanation for my intarsia process is here: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=ccabs&action=display&thread=32509You can show 10 people something you made and get 10 different opinions on what they like or don't like (especially when you're not playing it safe and going kinda out of the box). It really means alot to me (I know I'm being redundant) when you point out what you think works or not. Thanks everyone!

Wow, that's awesome. I love how the wrap goes with the stone separation. And you know I love the top of the wrap as well.

Yes Yes Yes! That is a yes for each of the three sections. I too like the pattern of the wire over the intarsia line. Makes one want to study what is going on.
How long did it take you to do the wrap? Karock

About 5-6 hrs while watching TV and on the computer at the same time, LOL. Took lots of breaks. Thought I'd finished it, then came back and looked at it fresh and undid and chopped two of the accent wires at the top (which are now the two small loops). Went slow, used blue painter's tape, positioned each wire carefully and deliberately, put it down, took a break, came back and looked at it with fresh eyes. Larry- I really didn't realize how appealing that flowing bail style was until I saw you doing it! I'm debating whether to do the delineation wire on the front (over the stone separation lines) on the other four cabs. Hmmm...

Very cool! I really like the moon, sun, earth theme of it. ;D Gotta tell ya, that moonstone has got to be one of the coolest materials I have tried yet. Unbelievable the sparkly stuff that pops out in it. However . . .it hates me! I have tried 3 freeforms so far and the first one got broken because the leather wheel grabbed and threw it across the shop. The second one just busted and yesterday, I thought I'd finally done it, was 5 seconds away from calling it done and dropped it on the concrete floor!!!! I will win!!!!!!

O My! You did a beautiful job on that wrap Jo. I love the look of the twisted wire crossing over the sections. It really accentuates it, especially the middle.
Boy if you are watching tv and wrapping at the same time, my hats off to you.
