Here is one of the Kentucky geodes I got from Gary (58vette). I sliced it down the center on the good ol' WF saw, then face polished it. I wanted to slab it, but there's a few fractures going through the center. Now I decided I like this better anyway, because I can polish the other half and use them as book ends. Thanks for looking. That's a great specimen Nate, I like the internal crystal structure, and the butterscoth colour is very appealing, it'll make a great pair of bookends! Good thinking Mate! Thanks for sharing your results! Food for thought.... Mmmmmm Buttersotch! Cheers, Harry.

Nate, That one really has some pretty crystals in it! I have only cut a few of the small ones so I am not sure what I have out there. Right now, they are decorating my garden. Fran

Harry - Your work is amazing. Your praises sure mean a lot to me, Thank You! I agree too, butterscotch - Mmmm!
Fran - All of the geodes I got from Gary were larger, baseball to cantalope size. I have broken open 2 and cut this one, and I have I think about 6 left. I had one that was crumbly and rusty looking inside, but the others so far have been like this. They sure are beautiful inside!

Nate: We had some of the geodes too, and everyone was a little different, some with lots of crystals, some solid with beautiful orange and salmon colors, very fun! That will make a nice set of bookends for ya! Amber

Oh Amber, I bet the salmon color was very pretty. I'm going to chop up the one that was all crumbly. Maybe there's a surprise hiding in there!?!
Thanks for the props!

I got the other half polished. Now by the photos I see I needed to inspect it a little better. I'll probably clean it up before making into a bookend. Thanks again for looking. Nate
