"Wholesale" rock usually equates to quantity discounts. At a show you can expect discounts when buying by the 5 gallon bucket (usually 60 lbs. or more). 60 lbs. UPS to Florida is about $75. Most wholesale buyers are buying by the 55 gallon drum, sometimes by the pallet of drums. Sometimes by the shipping container. Your best bet is to decide how much of what kind of rock and see what price you can negotiate. I'd contact Tony and Mary Ann and see what they have. At least you know you won't be buying junk. I sell rock at a few outdoor shows but hate to ship rock sight unseen to customers. I really like people to see what they are buying. Florida is not a choice rock collecting area so chances of finding an old collection nearby are very slim. There are occasional estate sales out here where people want to sell Granpa's house and just want to get all those darn rocks hauled away. I once bought 700 lbs of very nice rock for $6 (two buckets for a dollar). Nice, old colection stuff too. Bucket of copralite, bucket of Howlite, bucket of opalized wood, buckets of petrified wood, etc. Some old rock shops close and sell out cheap also but you have to buy entire stock to get a deal.

I've got lots of nice Spiderman Jasper rough if you would be interested in any of that. Most seem to be getting $8-$9 a pound, limited supplies of it available. I'll sell for $4 per pound + shipping. Might be a week or so before I will be able to pack & ship (surgery monday) or maybe hubby would do it for me.
