I cut a few slabs on the WF today. I know most of you slab a whole rock, but I prefer to cut a slab or two and leave it. Then if I want more I can slab more, or I can smash it to tumble if I prefer lol. I have to thank Amber for the wonderful box she sent me. There's several pieces here from her. I'll be working off her box for quite a while. Here's the whole lot : First the stuff from Amber: Here's a nice piece of moss These 2 I'm unsure of. Pigeon blood agate maybe? Another unknown to me. I like the pattern in it though. This piece I thought was a jasper, but part of it must be soft, as it made the water all muddy. It cut like a harder material though. A nice jasper. I love the colors in here. Next is a few pieces of the white agate from Mary Ann Now a few montanas I cut from the stuff I bought a few weeks ago. back lit back lit And lastly the seam agate I got at the same show as the montanas Thanks for looking. You are going to have some fun with that batch! Maybe that one that has some soft areas could be a pet wood. Some that I have had were red with some soft spots and those areas were dirty to grind. Hard to tell. Fran

Nate: That is rainbow pet wood from AZ, it should be fairly hard, it gets nice and shiny! Glad you liked the box! Enjoy! Amber

Nice cuts! I do the same thing.......I almost never cut an entire rock. I cut a slab or two for cabbing and put the rest back for later. The exception is a piece that changes with nearly every cut, like a good plume agate. Those I will completely cut simply because not knowing what the next slice will look like would kill me LOL.
