I went to Glass Buttes (in central Oregon) last weekend and got a bunch of obsidian. On the way home I stopped at Hampton Butte and found some petrified wood. Group photo Close ups of two best pieces Piece I chipped to see inside I'll try to get some obsidian pics up soon but it's tricky to get good pictures of it.

The red is nice. The one time I dug Hampton BUtte, I got mostly dark green and brown.

that's pretty cool! I wonder what causes the green coloring? It makes it look very unique
