Like Lori said, stop playing around with the craft wire.... I never could get my craft wire stuff to look as good as those. Once you do the switch, you'll see how much easier it is to wrap, and how much cleaner your work will turn out. Also, I did my binding wraps with round wire for three years. I just switched to half-round this year and I can't begin to tell you the difference that it makes. I also switched to square wire for the wrap this year too, big difference here as well and more versatile since you have the option of twisting it.

Well, this isn't exactly " craft wire" , but it's not the real expensive stuff either, not sure I am worthy of that yet. This stuff is called "wrap-it" wire, from fire mountain, comes in a multitude of different colors, but I just ordered some silver, gold, and copper. On the silver though, they sent me 20 gauge instead of 22, so I have to fight it a little bit more, but not too bad. It is still MUCH easier to work with than the other stuff! The only bad thing about it is that it doesn't come in 1/2 rnd. or square, just round. When I get better at this, and financially better set though I want to order the better stuff.
