They say for shaping stone ?. what stone and of what hardness,
Also lapidary wheels have a special binder which helps to prolong their life
I am not familuar with them others in USA will help you
I have used simular SC wheels one 8" X1"lasted me 2 weeks!!

I love stupid questions...they make me feel so smart ;D (just wish this was one of them).. Good find!
They're SiC wheels, so yes, they will work, BUT email the company and find out if they'll work wet (not all wheels will) and you really don't want to work dry.
Sic wears faster than diamond wheels and cuts slower, with alot more grit in the water. SiC wheels work better with a freshwater drip system. If you use a bubble-up or sputter water system you'll have to change water more frequently (not a big deal).
The largest/widest wheels are the easiest to work with too.

I tried the sc wheels that came with my grinder,and the only thing there good for is sharpining lawn mower blades.The were not designed for rocks.Get the Green Lapidary wheels and use water...............rocky

Ditto on contacting Granite City tools. A friend of mine does business with granite city. He found the best prices on handheld wet diamond grinders there. They are very reputable and are a major supplier for the marble industry...
