I've cut a few slabs of "Rosetta" which means red in Mexican...I can't find on any web page a picture or knowledge of this rock.
Thanks for any help..

I bought some several years ago but have only worked a little. I'd put it more in the travertine group as it seems to be more of a calcite/dolomite type material. It does have a pretty high silica content and some of the crystal pockets are quartz crystals but some are calcite crystals too. If you avoid the calcite crystal vugs, it works up pretty darn nice.....Mel

Thanks Tom and Mel...
Mel the stone is flawless no vugs cracks or pits I've sliced 16 1/4 inch slabs and will start grinding from 320 grit down to a new diamond 3000 grit...I'll post a few pictures when done.
Oh-The new agate diamond blade cuts through rosetta like butter, nice!
