I didn't make any time to grind on any rocks this weekend, but I did have the urge to burn some metal. Soooo, I built a stand for my WF saw. Nothing fancy here, but it seems like it'll work well. I just cut up some scrap 3/4" pipe my Dad had laying out behind the shed. I built it 36" high, which may need to be cut down a little, and I may need a few more braces underneath where the saw and water res. sits. I'll see once I use it. Nate

Cool!
Looks like it was made for the WF ;D
Keep us posted on how the height works out.

I tried the saw for a bit this afternoon on the stand. I really like the height. I can still lean over to watch while rolling the rock on the blade, which I was afraid it would be too high to do. I'm going to leave it as is. Now I think I want to add a drain to the water dish so I can leave it in place.

If your near a water connection (ie a hose), you could do a drip & drain (adding fresh water to the top of the tray while draining the yuck (a tech term, it's in the manual ) out of the bottom. Glad it worked out for you, keep up the good work, Dr Joe .

Thanks again Dr. Joe. I have a hose near, but being on the municipal water supply, I don't like leaving the hose run (or even drip in this case). I grew up out of town on a well, and HATE paying for water! Putting on a drain was just a thought. I may do it, I may not.
Manofglass, thanks for the link. I'm aware of the modeling programs, I just haven't tried any. I'd like to, but I'm more of an old school cut and fit type of guy, so it's hard to sit and model things first. I'm going to check it out quick anyway.
