Well, only have 3 done so far today, but thought I would post them for opinion sake. s'pecially on the last one. This first one is just a tumbled laker I had, used 4 wires and created a "cage" like on the sides to hold it in place. Just another wrap Then this one. It's a re-wrapped cab that I had recieved from tkrueger3 (Tom), but I wasn't entirely happy with the first wrap, so I ripped it off, and started over. It's not exactly the effect I wanted to accomplish, but it's ok, I guess. Maybe too much? Tell me what you guys think...... Thanks for lookin' again!! Marie

Opinion- Normally I wouldn't put that many loops on a single wrap, but somehow you made it look clean and I honestly like it alot. The more that I look at it, the more I like it. Great job on all!

Well, Marie, what I think is that as soon as this batch of cabs is "done", you're gonna get another little box in the mail, that's what I think!
Honest opinion - the first pic of these 3 is my favorite. Those really tight, uniform little swirls - I can't do that! The second stone is my fave. And my cab - I don't see anything wrong with your wrap - I didn't even want to try that one! Good on ya.

Only complaint on the first one - the metal matches the stone too closely, your work actually got lost in the stone. Love the 2nd one. 3rd one too foofy for my tastes - but that's just a difference in personal style. All 3 were very well executed. Great job.

Thanks guys!!! What I really wanted to do with that last one? I wanted the swirls to come up the side of it, in a victorian style, but obviously that is gonna take a lot more thinking about before I get it done. If I ever figure it out, it will actually frame the stone.....Thanks for being honest about it. I normally don't like the swirls to be that heavy either, it's just how it happened?? LOL Toad, I know what you're saying about the wire on the first one...but....I wasn't all that concerned about the wire work standing out, this is a really pretty laker, so I wanted more of it to show up than the wire work. The other side of the stone is just as pretty, too! Tom, you CAN get those tight swirls, and you will be able too, it took lots of practice for me. I bet I have over 100 wrapped stones in there! Just keep practicing, it will come to ya!! Thanks again everyone!

Hey Marie, the 1st two are really good, but the last one? wow. love the feathery effect you get at the top, but think I'd stop there. It makes it light & airy & stunning. I think the rest on the edges kind of brings it down. just my taste tho. jo
