Hello, I bought that rock from a fair today. The guy had some other pictural jaspers too, all of them polished on one face, but the colors of this one caught my eye. Is this some sort of Imperial Jasper? Thanks for help, Adrian

What a wonderful find. Looks like imperial to me, but better wait for one of the experts to chime in.

You're right Daniel. What I have looks exactly like the ones in the link. Thank you very much.

I got some at a show in PA a few years ago. The sky was not blue/black, but there were more swirls. At that time it did not even have a name.

Did you cut some pretty cabs out of that?

Todd - I set it aside to make 3x3 and 4x4 tiles out of. The roling hill pattern is largish and it would take a large cab to show much pattern. But not that I am more interested in cutting bolo cabs, I willhave to take another look. Hopefully this winter I can lay out all my slabs and resort them. Right now they are in 30 different boxes, bins, and buckets.

I agree that it is polychrome jasper out of Madagascar. Look at this link (http://www.worldofjaspers.com/Africa1.html), 9th specimen down on the page. Nice piece. Garry
