Something new and different I am trying out. This wire is extremely pliable, which may result in always having a twist effect to it from now on, but I haven't tried it yet. See what ya think! A bit of Laker Thanks for lookin'!! Marie

I like it. Sometimes the 'traditional' metallics don't necessarily compliment a stone. Nice that there is another option.

Ive always liked the look of colored wire but have found it to not be very durable (the color gets scratched up easy). The best colored wires are anodized. They can still be scratched but it takes steel to mar it so as long as the wearer is careful, daily wear and gold or silver chains rubbing on it shouldnt cause a problem.
Its a nice look though and I love the black with the stone you chose.

Marie: We started using the black wire for dude wraps since it was a little more masculine, I think that was before you were on here. If the wire scratches we use a sharpie to fill in the kinks, the solid color wire is all solid in all colors except for black? ?? go figure!!!!!!! So the kinks almost always show! I hate that!!!! Someone at a show told us they like parrawire, so maybe that is a little better. Love the wrap, I like black better than copper I think since you can wear it with silver or gold. Amber

I like it, Marie - what kind of wire is it (is it like beading wire, or what?) and where do you get it from? It looks really good with that stone.

This I got from fire mountain gems, it's called zebra wire. It comes in a lot of different colors and sizes. The only thing about it is that it is extremely flexible. I mean, it holds the stone and all, but it is nothing like working with copper wire. Before I completely reccomend buying it, let me play with it for awhile, see if there is some other trick to it or something. I would hate for someone to buy it, and feel they wasted their money based on something I have said. I like the look of it, it's the flexability I worry about mostly......I have been playing with it some today, seeing how I could work it.....it's just something that may take some getting used to. Just so you know exactly what it is: it is copper wire, color coated with an enamel, and then some sort of finish put on top of that.....I can't remember what it was called exactly. I just wanted to try it.........

Oh yeah, hey Amber...I tried to locate that parrawire, but nothing came up in search results. Where do you get your black wire from? Or what is it called?

The black really accentuates the stone. Nice idea. Debby and Tom
