LOL, I went to leave feedback, it's only 14.5 pounds. ;D This one came from Ebay seller zippy, he's another one of my favorite sellers. I got a 19 pound chunk of Stone Canyon jasper from him a few months ago.

That's what I figured. I watch his auctions too. I usually watch smaller chunks though - stuff that will fit in a 12-pound tumbler without too much hammering.

That guy must be from around here in Northern Calif. That jasper looks familiar and I know stone canyon jasper aint too far. Steve

Nice piece Randy. Looks like all the cracks are well healed. Northern CA seems to have some very nice jaspers/agate mixes. Woody

Nice! Yep all those jaspers, Stone Canyon, San Simeon, Cambria, Creston, Indian Valley, Big Sandy, Pope Valley and even Stony Creek up north and Hornitos in the Sierras are all from the same Franciscan chert deposits.....Mel

San Simeon is where the Heart Castle is in CA, one of my favorite spots to visit, Cambria, etc, man too bad I wasnt into rocks then.

We managed to find a few on the beach last month across from San Simeon State Park. Main deposit is supposed to be up the creek in the campground. Some of it looks very much like a variation of Stone Canyon.
