Hello,
Could anyone please help me with the optimum rotation speed of the blade of a trim saw? The diameter would be some 8...10 inches.
It would be helpful to me to know the labeled rotation of the electric motor and the diameters of the wheels (motor and driven).
Thank you, Adrian

Barranca's 10" saw has a 1725 rpm motor and both pulleys are 2". I think you'll find 8" to 10" blade recommendations at 1800 or less.

Adrian, If you are using the black blade that I got for you, you can run it about 25% faster than normal rotation, should also be able to feed about 25% faster, so you can also take that into consideration.
Have a great day................Tony

Thanks Nate and Tony. Yes, Tony, that's the one I'm gonna use, thanks for the info. So if I take a medium rotation speed of about 1400...1500 and multiply with 1.25, it leads to about 1800.
Oh, another question would be: in the MK table given in Lapidaryrough's link, speeds vary depending on the type of blade, not only on diameter. MK 297, 301, 1000, 303... which one should I look at? Oh yes never mind, I had a look on the site and what I have looks very much like 303. Speeds are a bit bigger for this type of blade, like Tony stated.
Thanks a lot again friends!
