Hi, I was thinking about a comment i read somewhere about how cabs were being stamped over ..somewhere.. Does anyone currently do this? got me thinking If you had a round slab. maybe used sticky tape or wax or anything to hold it. then stamped it with this thing on a drill press all you would need is to toss it into a tumbler for finishing? Heres what I came up with.

What waste of grit An time, Chuck it up in a drill, Glue the engine value to the stone and spin it on a S.C. Wheel.
I have a Old Crown Cap per former. I`ll never use it though it`s a part of the trick line of thoughts the field of lapidary thought of in the 60s.

Nothing is a waste of time if its "your" time and you enjoy what you are doing. One might consider the toilet plunger vibe tumbler a waste of time as well but someone obviously had a good time trying out a different idea. Have fun with your idea divide......it may work or it may not but thats how everything originally comes about and is improved upon.

Interesting idea. You would have to make the inside the same shape as a cab. Also, as soon as it grinds all the way through it would just spin so you would have to clamp the slab down to begin with... unless I am not understand it right. You also might have a way to feed slurry into it too. Cool idea. Steve
