Well, here is another one of Tony's boulder opal cabs wrapped in gold.... I had plans for the bottom, but my wires were too short, so this is what I have right now... Front..... Back... There is a little flash in the stone.... just a little.... I may add a couple of wires and finish off the bottom, but I think it's allright for now..... Chris

Outstanding, Chris! The gold accents the opal nicely.

I'd leave it just the way it is! Gorgeous! Marie

The wrap really shows off the stone! It looks great the way it is. As to whether or not to add the bottom, go for the overall size that she like to wear.

Beeeuutifuul! You're very artistic. I like what you did with the twisted wire, I also think it's great just the way it is.

Chris,
Sometimes less is more. Its extremely easy in wire wrapping to overpower the beautiful stone. It looks great as is. Although the design you created is beautiful, I would be afraid of the stone getting "lost".

Very nice. I wish I could convince the wire to do things like that for me.

What is her taste in jewelry? If you think she will like it better with the bottom...add it. If she doesn't you can easily take it off. It looks gorgeous as it is...and I would think it would still be gorgeous if you added the rest of the design. I think it is cool that you can do either! I like that you doodle designs like I do. I use a Sharpie to trace around my stones as I earase a LOT! lol I need to get your address so I can send you an artist sketch book for Christmas. You will LOVE having one. Hugs, Nancy F

Thanks for the pre-wrap art, drawing out a design could really help plan for wire length. Tom and Debby
