Nate, your first wrap is wonderful. You must be so proud to be able to create something that your daughter can wear and treasure.
I'm sure you will be doing more at her request. Welcome to the swirly, curly, twisted world of wrapping. lol.

The size is indeed perfect for her. Glad she liked it. You did that without looking at the tutorial well then I am even more impressed.

I don't know what might make you more proud: your first wrap or your daughter. I think the combination - your daughter wearing it - is priceless Adrian

Thank you everyone! Abby wore the pendant to school yesterday. She said her friends were all amazed at the stone. She said they were all looking at it to see the banding and amazed that her dad made it lol. I'm definitely more proud of my daughter! But I am enjoying working with the rocks too.

Beautiful clean, tight wrapping. The stone is the star and the wrap shows it nicely. Lucky lady wearing it, too! Great job. Susan

Thanks Jack. I'm wracking my brain on how to wrap another one right now. It's rutilated quartz with a very high dome, so it's a challenge to say the least. It's for my other daughter's birthday this weekend, so I have a few days left...

This is just a suggestion and what I sometimes do with high dome cabs. I will use more wires. As many as it takes to cover the girdle plus two. I have found that as I wrap around the girdle, the two that are above the girdle will kind of angle into the dome and help lock it in place. The only problem I have when I do this is all the wire at the top and what to do with it but that is where the crative side really kicks in. lol
Your daughter is going to love what you make.
